Vision Board Workbook: A Journey to Manifesting Your Dreams
Share
Hi, I’m Jyoti Maheshwari, the founder of KesariyaVanity, a brand that grew from a dream into a reality. I’ve always believed in the power of clarity and visualization, but it wasn’t until I started creating vision boards that I truly began manifesting my goals.
In just four months of making my first vision board, I manifested my brand’s first 100K revenue. Over time, we’ve shipped 50,000+ products to amazing women, opened a physical studio, and built a community of empowered individuals.
But my vision board wasn’t just about my business. It was about becoming the most authentic version of myself. Through this process, I:
- Started meditating daily.
- Read books that transformed my mindset.
- Got Featured in India's Top Women Run Podcast.
- Traveled to Vrindavan three times for spiritual growth.
- am learning to love myself deeply and authentically.
Vision boards helped me gain clarity, align my actions, and stay connected to my goals. And I believe they can do the same for you.
Why Create a Vision Board?
Life moves fast, and it’s easy to lose sight of what truly matters. A vision board gives your goals a physical space to breathe and grow. It transforms blurry dreams into a clear roadmap.
Without clarity, our dreams remain hidden in the fog of everyday life. But when you visualize them, you’re reminded daily of what you’re working toward.
Here’s why it’s important:
- It keeps you focused on your goals.
- It connects you to your authentic self.
- It helps you balance ambition with gratitude.
Step 1: Start with Self-Reflection
Before creating a vision board, spend time with yourself. This step is crucial because no one understands your dreams better than you do.
- Find a Quiet Space: Sit alone, away from distractions.
- Ask Yourself These Questions:
Write in as much detail as you can, Highlight what repeats often, that is your calling. When I started reflecting, I realized I wanted to chase Freedom, self-love, authenticity, and spiritual growth. These became central to my vision board.
Step 2: Highlight Your Goals and Write Them Down
Before diving into visuals, take time to clearly define your goals. Writing them down is a powerful way to gain clarity and focus.
-
Divide Your Goals into Categories:
-
Be Specific:
The more detailed your goals, the easier it will be to visualize and achieve them.- Instead of “I want to travel,” write “I want to visit Vrindavan three times this year.”
- Instead of “I want to grow my business,” write “I want to ship 50,000 products and open a physical studio.”
-
Write Down Your Goals:
Use a notebook or journal in same way to jot down your goals. This will serve as the foundation for your vision board.
Step 3: Gather Your Materials
To create your vision board, you’ll need:
- Google & Wifi.
- Scissors, glue, and markers.
- A sturdy board or notebook.
-
Find Relevant Images & Stick them on the board/notebook:
Search for visuals that resonate with your goals. - Want to grow your business? Add images of milestones, like revenue or customer numbers.
- Want to travel? Paste pictures of your dream destinations.
-
Add Affirmations(Use these where you find spaces):
Write empowering statements that align with your goals, like: - “I am worthy of success.”
- “I attract abundance and joy.”
- Make it Real(Pro Tip):
- Personalize it by adding your face to a magazine cover or creating mockups of your achievements.
For KesariyaVanity, I added a mock Instagram profile with 100K followers and a revenue goal. Seeing it every day motivated me to take consistent action.
Step 4: Reflect Daily and Take Action
- Morning Routine: Spend the first hour of your day in silence. Review your vision board, set intentions, and plan small actions.
-
Balance Work and Rest: Overworking can lead to burnout. Make time for relaxation and gratitude.
I used to over-focus on my brand, neglecting personal goals like travel and self-care. I’ve since learned the importance of balance—it’s key to sustainable growth.
Step 5: Handle Old Vision Boards Mindfully
Your old vision board holds the energy of your dreams. Here’s how to handle it:
- Show Gratitude: Acknowledge what you’ve achieved and learned.
-
Preserve or Dismantle: If space is an issue, create a compact version to keep the memories alive.
I made a huge vision board initially, which became hard to manage. Now, I prefer smaller, portable boards that are easier to carry and update.
